You read that right. Canadian singer Justin Bieber is actually being banned from performing in China.
When a Belieber in China asked the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture why the artist wasn't allowed to have any of his Asian tour dates in the country, they responded in a translated message that "Justin Bieber is a talented singer but also a controversial young foreign singer". They continued on, citing "bad behavior" and "public dissatisfaction". As a result of this, the Bureau determined that Bieber just shouldn't be allowed to perform in the country.
The Biebs isn't the only artist to be banned from the country. Bjork, Maroon 5 and Oasis has all been banned from performing for a variety of political reasons. They can all still enter the country, but while within its borders they can't perform anywhere, which sort of defeats the purpose of a popular musician visiting.
Some examples of Bieber's past bad behavior include a past DUI, being rude to his fans and using racial slurs. While the pop star has been relatively tame in 2017, his past behavior was still enough to get him banned from China. It'll take a lot of time and future good deeds for the singer to possibly be able to perform there again.
In the meantime, he's touring several asian countries, such as Japan, the Philippines and Singapore.

Apparently this is an ode to his new photo policy, the one that says he isn't taking pictures with fans any longer. He does make some good points on his Instagram post, though, "It's gotten to the point that people won't even say hi to me or recognize me as a human." If that's not good enough reason for you, Bieber even compares himself to a zoo animal and says he has to do this to maintain his sanity.
As I'm sure you knew based off of the lack of flower crowns on your Snapchat story, the first weekend of Coachella has officially come to a close. The weekend was jam packed with absolutely insane sets from the top artists in the world, and special guests appearances left and right.
The closing act of weekend one couldn't have been any more fitting, with King Kendrick delivering an absolute masterpiece of a finale headlining show, fresh off of his new album DAMN. The anticipation to see what songs he would perform was overwhelming, and the sea of people on the livestream was seemingly endless.
He started out with some insane visuals from his "Kung Fu Kenny" persona, and came out dressed in what looked like an Asian karate/kung-fu outfit (pardon my ignorance of traditional self-defense clothing). He even had a ninja jumping around him at one point during his performance!
The set got really interesting when he brought out his first special guest; Travis Scott, with whom he performed "Goosebumps", electrifying the already hype crowd.
He continued the hype, performing his older stuff like "Backseat Freestyle" and "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe (Remix)", before his next guest came out, Schoolboy Q.
Q performed "That Part", which was odd because Kendrick isn't featured, but it turned out to just be a transition which allowed Kendrick to appear in the middle of the crowd to perform "LUST".
His final special guest had the crowd jumping and screaming lyrics no other, and it was Future, fresh off of his own Coachella performance, giving us "Mask Off", with Kendrick as the hype man.
This was an all around incredible show, and we can only hope that it gets even more added to it before weekend two!
DJ Khaled Has Another Hit With "Im The One" Ft. Justin Bieber
Major key alert.
BLESS UP! Today, DJ Khaled unveiled his star-studded collaboration, "I'm The One" featuring Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, Quavo, and Lil Wayne.
Khaled has been teasing this new song for months on his Snapchat and it didn't disappoint. The song comes with a music video that's filled with antics that you'd think DJ Khaled does in his free time: dancing around with rappers, holding assorted liquors, and an endless sea of women in the background.
This song is primed to be this summer's anthem, so sit back and enjoy... anotha one.
The good, the bad, and the ugly. Celebrities, amiright?
How would one sum up this week, Mary Jarvis, pop culture maven? Well let me tell you, Flockers, if this week was anything, it was a shitty week for Justin Bieber.
Let's begin. First, he walks off a SUPREMELY awkward interview with a Spanish radio station. Buzzfeed reported that they were asking him questions like what he's sorry for, or if woman dress him. (Bieber, apparently, dresses himself.) Eventually he just got so fed up he just walked off.
But this isn't the only walking off he's done. Apparently, while performing a mini-concert in Norway, Justin Bieber attempted to wipe the stage but kids in the front row kept grabbing the rag. So what does he do? He just walks off. Like legit ends the show. #sorryforpartying
Dude has obviously been having a rough week. I feel that. We've all been there, Bieber. Keep your chin up.
It isn't only Justin Bieber who's been having a rough week-Twitter users everywhere are furious over a recent change of the favorite star that used to be featured on every Tweet to a heart button-meant to show "likes." Conforming to the Facebook model has plenty of people pissed off, and rightfully so. Is nothing sacred?
Is this week has anything good to show for it it's that Warner Brothers has released to first image of the Harry Potter prequel Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in the form of an Entertainment Weekly cover. Ugh just looking at Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander is enough to give me chills. Lez get pumppppeeeddd.
The good, the bad, and the ugly. Celebrities, amiright?
It seems like the more responsibilities I have, the more time I spend avoiding them by obsessively catching up on the drama of the upper-echelon. This week was a major roller coaster for Hollywood--the good, the bad, the ugly, and the really fucking cute. Between baby pics, lawsuits, and magazine covers, there is plenty of shit to talk about this week.
In others news, while there was a serious lack of Kanye drama recently, his fam still managed to steal the spotlight this week. For those of you still living in the dark ages, Kim Kardashian-West blessed us with a Saint this week--literally. Or you know, the first picture of the power duo's son, in honor of her late father's birthday.
Can I just say, the gene pool in this family is ridiculous. Somehow Saint is even cuter than expected. Now he just has to match big sis North's super trendy style. Is it weird to have wardrobe envy for a toddler? This was just the pick me up this week needed.
But my favorite picture of the week is a little less cute and a little more, well, grown up. While saying we were blessed with a photo of Saint West is a great pun, the real blessing was Justin Bieber baring it all on his recent Clash Magazine cover. Um, hi.
As a newly-minted Belieber, I don't usually get overly-hyped to see what the Biebs if up to. But after this, I have fully converted. Anyone know where I can get a life-size version of this printed? Or maybe where I can get JBiebs number? He isn't returning my DMs...
Now let's flash back to the early 2000s so I can inform you that Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and the Jonas Brothers will be going on tour together. OK, well it's a little more complicated than that. They won't all be touring together together, but there will be some serious Disney circa your preteen years flashbacks. Selena Gomez announced Joe Jonas' band DNCE as her tour opening act and Demi will be joining forces with Nick Jonas for a seriously throwback tour. It's nice to see the Disney family still growing up together.
To end this week I'm going to leave you with Kanye's most bullshit Tweet yet. Looks Like we're all getting free Yeezy's!!!!!! LOLz. Not.
And yes I've talked to Adidas and we gon hook y'all up with free Yeezys and Adidas. All positive vibes.
